CT and X-Ray Technologist

We are looking for a CT and X-Ray Technologist ? NUHW for Diagnostic Imaging at Redwood Memorial Hospital!
Location: Redwood Memorial Hospital ? Fortuna, CA
Schedule: Full-time ? 80 hours biweekly ? 1.0
Shift: 8-hour Days
Redwood Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit, 35-bed critical access hospital located in Fortuna. This full-service hospital opened in 1957 and services the communities of Eel River Valley and Southern Humboldt. Redwood Memorial offers critical care, emergency, imaging, maternity and infant care, and surgical services.
Under the direction of the Department
Manager and in collaboration with the radiologists, performs advanced technical
diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities utilizing age-specific
criteria according to department standards.
Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families,
the public, and the medical staff.
Participates in quality control and organizational improvement
activities. Is a technical and clinical
role model for less experienced radiologic technologists in the
department. Participates in call
schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.
Reads and interprets written materials
such as prescriptions, physician?s orders, policies and procedures, safety
regulations, and equipment operating instructions. Interprets a variety of instructions
presented in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule format.
Writes routine reports, notes and
memoranda. Speaks and writes
Applies basic arithmetic and algebraic
concepts such as proportions, percentages and simple equations with a high
degree of accuracy. Routinely calculates
changes in radiographic technique factors.
Solves practical problems and deals
effectively with situations where only limited standardization exists.
Concentrates on details in a busy and
distracting environment.
Education: Graduate of a program in radiologic
technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education &
Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
Experience: Experience as a hospital-based radiographer is preferred. Advanced imaging skills in angiography,
mammography, computed tomography, or other imaging modality is required. Basic computer skills related to simple data
entry are essential.
Knowledge: Staff members who treat patients of a specific age group must be aware of
the regulatory and accreditation requirements specific to that population. The specific information and skills related
to the position presented in this job description include the following age
group populations: infant, child,
adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Licensure: State of California as a Certified Radiologic
Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology.
Certification: Current CPR certification is
required. A current State of California Technologist?s
Fluoroscopy Permit is required.
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is
desired. Advanced A.R.R.T. certification
in mammography, cardiovascular and interventional imaging, quality control,
computed tomography, or MRI is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
